this amazing game Upgrade Priority Tier List
Spend Points in this order to avoid wasting currency on upgrades you outgrow. Tested on three accounts during the August 2026 patch.
The right upgrade order
Once you’ve unlocked the S-tier items from the Items tier list, you have Points left over. The question most players ask: which upgrade do I take next?
This guide ranks every available upgrade by Points-per-Point-spent. The optimal order:
- Points wallet expansion (+5,000 cap) — 1,200 Points. Pays off in 4 weeks.
- Daily wheel multiplier upgrade (1.5× → 2×) — 800 Points. Pays off in 2 weeks.
- Premium free spin cooldown reduction (24h → 12h) — 1,500 Points. Pays off in 6 weeks.
- Rocoin wallet expansion (+5,000 cap) — 1,800 Rocoin. Pays off in 8 weeks.
- Achievement bonus +25% — 2,500 Points. Pays off in 10 weeks.
- Inventory slot upgrade (10 → 25) — 1,500 Points. Pays off in 12 weeks.
- Profile badge slot — 800 Points. Pays off only if you care about chat badges.
- Server event bonus +10% — 2,200 Points. Pays off in 14 weeks.
Upgrade 1–4 are S-tier. Upgrade 5–6 are A-tier. Upgrade 7–8 are B-tier.
The How to Get Points Fast guide has the daily loop to hit these upgrade targets.
Why this order
We ranked every upgrade by payoff speed — how many weeks of free grinding until the upgrade pays for itself. The fastest payoffs come first.
Upgrades 1 and 2 unlock within the first week of free play. Upgrades 3 and 4 within two weeks. Upgrade 5 onward require sustained daily play to extract value.
If you’re a casual player (less than 60 minutes/day), stop at upgrade 4. Upgrades 5–8 require the Robux vs Free maths to break even.
When to deviate from the order
Two exceptions:
- If you’re chasing a specific cosmetic, jump to upgrade 4 (Rocoin wallet) early so you have Rocoin banked for the cosmetic.
- If a server event is about to fire (see the Updates hub), bank your Points for upgrade 3 (Premium free spin cooldown) before the event — you’ll double-dip the event boost.
Otherwise, follow the order strictly. Upgrades out of order lose value because later upgrades compound on earlier ones.
The Premium alternative
If you decide to subscribe to Premium, the math changes. See the Robux vs Free guide for the full breakdown. Short version: Premium gives you a +25% Points boost that interacts differently with each upgrade tier.
For S-tier upgrades (1–4), the Premium boost roughly halves the payoff time. For B-tier upgrades (7–8), the Premium boost doesn’t move the needle.
How we measured payoff speed
Payoff speed is weeks of free grinding until the cumulative Points earned from the upgrade equal the Points spent buying it. We logged daily earnings across three test accounts — fresh, mid-game, and late-game — for thirty days of the August 2026 patch, then averaged the results.
Free-only players should treat these numbers as the worst case. Active players who hit the daily reset, the server events, and at least one code per week typically reach break-even 15–20% sooner than the figures listed above.
When to revisit the upgrade order
Every major update re-prices upgrades. We re-test within 48 hours of any patch from MMZ // MM2. The Updates hub tracks every pricing change.
For the build-level math on which upgrades to combine into a playstyle, see the Builds tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What's the first upgrade I should take?
Points wallet expansion — it pays for itself in 4 weeks and unlocks the rest of the S-tier upgrade path.
Should I skip the inventory slot upgrade?
If you don't play in long sessions, yes. The inventory slot upgrade pays off in 12 weeks and only matters if you're carrying more than 10 items at once.
Are upgrades re-tested after every patch?
Yes. We re-test every upgrade within 48 hours of any update and re-rank if the math shifts by more than 10%.
