this amazing game First 30 Minutes Walkthrough
Skip the spinner trap, bank a Rocoin buffer, and unlock your first item — every tap counts in this amazing game on Roblox.
What this walkthrough covers
This guide gets a brand-new Roblox player from the loading screen to their first item unlock in about 30 minutes. We assume you’ve just redeemed the launch codes and have a fresh account with no progression. If you’ve already played for an hour, jump to the How to Get Points Fast guide instead.
Step 1 — Skip the tutorial, but read it once
The in-game tutorial plays out across three screens. Two of them contain genuinely useful information about how the Points wallet and the Rocoin wallet are separate. Read those. Skip the spinner tutorial — the daily wheel is fully covered in the How to Get Points Fast guide and you do not want to waste your first spin on the tutorial test.
Step 2 — Open the inventory before you spend
Tap the bag icon on the bottom-right of the main menu. The catalog unlocks one item at a time, and the order matters. The first slot is always the cheapest free-tier item — unlock it now. This costs you ~50 Points and the reward is a passive Points boost that pays for itself within 15 minutes of play.
Step 3 — Redeem every active code
Before you grind anything, redeem every active code from the All Codes table. Most launch waves include at least one “free spin” code that gives you a head start on the daily wheel. If you skip this step you’ll grind the next 30 minutes for currency you could have had in 10 seconds.
The How to Redeem guide has the full step-by-step if you have never redeemed a Roblox code before.
Step 4 — Pick a server, not a friend
The Servers tab is your friend in this amazing game. Always pick:
- A public server with 70–90% capacity — those run the smoothest.
- Region-closest to your real location — ping matters more than population here.
- Standard servers, not community-shared ones — codes are disabled in community servers.
See the Best Settings guide for the full server-pick checklist.
Step 5 — Burn your first spin on the wheel
The daily wheel is the highest Points-per-tap source in the early game. Spin it the moment it resets — the reset happens at 00:00 UTC, so if you play in the morning US time, your reset is around 6 hours away. Read the full strategy in the Points guide.
Step 6 — Save your first Rocoin
The single biggest beginner mistake in this amazing game is spending Rocoin on the first shiny item in the shop. Don’t. Save your first 500 Rocoin for the S-tier item that fits your playstyle. The Robux vs Free guide has the exact math on why.
Step 7 — Join a community
The in-game chat is friendly but thin. The real community lives on:
- The official Roblox group moderated by MMZ // MM2 (linked from our Official Links hub).
- The Updates hub comment threads on this wiki — fastest place to get a code drop notification.
Bookmark both before you finish your first session.
What you should have after 30 minutes
If you followed this guide exactly you should have:
- 1 free-tier item unlocked.
- Every active code redeemed.
- A daily wheel spin used.
- ~150 Points banked.
- ~200 Rocoin saved (not spent).
- A bookmarked Updates hub tab.
That’s the optimal first-30 state. From here, the Tier List tells you what to spend the Rocoin on, and the How to Get Points Fast guide tells you how to triple your earn speed in week two.
Common beginner pitfalls
We’ve compiled the rest of the early-game traps in the Common Mistakes guide — read it before you unlock your second item. The most expensive ones we’ve seen:
- Buying the daily Premium spin with Robux before you’ve earned 1,000 Points.
- Spending Rocoin on cosmetic items before the S-tier unlock.
- Playing in private servers, which disables both codes and the daily wheel boost.
The guide continues with progression in How to Unlock Items, which picks up where this one leaves off.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How long is the tutorial?
About 90 seconds if you tap through, around 3 minutes if you read every screen. We recommend reading the Points vs Rocoin screens and skipping the rest.
Can I skip the tutorial?
Not officially, but you can tap through it in 90 seconds. The game does not track tutorial skips against you.
What's the first item I should unlock?
The cheapest free-tier item in the catalog — usually a Points-boost badge. It pays for itself in 15 minutes and sets up your early-game earn rate.
